2020 New Homegrown Brand Cities released Jinjiang: the only county-level city on the list
On Sept. 4, Tmall and CBNData jointly launched the 2020 New Homegrown Brand Cities survey, investigating the development of new domestic brands in various cities. According to the survey, the TOP 10 New Homegrown Brand Cities in 2020 are as follows: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wuhan, Foshan, Jinjiang and Chengdu. Jinjiang, ranking the 9th, is the only county-level city on the list.
The report shows that Jinjiang is second only to Ningbo, on the New Homegrown Brand List of Second and Lower Tier Cities. On the Sports and Outdoor Industry Cities List, Jinjiang, following Beijing, takes the second place. On the Clothing Industry Cities List, Jinjiang ranks 6 after Hangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The city is also number 10 on the General Merchandise Industry Cities List.
It’s known that this report is based on the number of homegrown brands, the sales volume on Tmall, industry scale and other factors. The number of new homegrown brands, the brands’ online gross sales and the brands’ competitiveness are also taken into account. The result reflects a city’s business innovation power and is a weather vane of the city’s competitiveness.
The report also indicates that the second and third tier cities are booming in their featured industry, particularly in the industrial belt. Recently, more and more factories have transformed into new homegrown brand factories and are now selling their products, which were originally produced for export, domestically, which promotes the inland consumption and accelerates the development of local economy as well.
“The ranking of new homegrown brand cities is inseparable from a city’s competitiveness, reflecting a city’s vitality of culture and business.” According to Li Xiang, business research director and chief business analyst of CBNData, the birth and development of new homegrown brands are influenced by a city’s style, and would, in return, shape a city’s temperament and its business gene.
2020新国货之城排名发布晋江 前十中的唯一县级市
24日,天猫联合第一财经商业数据中心CBNData发起《2020新国货之城》调查,针对新国货在全国不同城市的发展做了全面“体检”。报告显示,城市商业创新力——2020新国货之城排名TOP10城市依次是:上海、广州、深圳、北京、杭州、宁波、武汉、佛山、晋江、成都。其中,晋江市是前十中唯一县级市,位列第九。
报告显示,在新国货之城“二级及以下城市榜”中,晋江位列第二名,仅次于宁波。在新国货之城榜单“运动户外行业城市榜”中,晋江位列第二位,仅次于北京;在新国货之城榜单“服装行业城市榜”中,晋江排名第六位,排在杭州、上海、宁波、深圳、广州之后;在新国货之城榜单“百货行业城市榜”中,晋江位列第十位。
据了解,该报告以各城市国货品牌的数量、在天猫的销量、产业规模等因素综合考量排序,以城市新国货品牌数量力(品牌数量)、品牌质量力(品牌线上总销售规模)、品牌竞争力三个方面进行加权,评价结果折射了一个城市的商业创新力,也是城市竞争力的风向标。
报告显示,二三线城市的特色产业也异军突起,尤其在产业带,越来越多外贸工厂转内销后,成为新国货工厂,不仅刺激了内需消费,也带动当地经济快速发展。
“新国货之城的排名和城市竞争力息息相关,显示了一座城市的文化和商业活力。”CBNData商业研究总监兼首席商业分析师李湘表示,新国货品牌的诞生和发展,不仅受城市风格的影响,也会反哺城市,塑造城市的气质和商业基因。
