30 Gymnasiade Venues Completed Jinjiang of More International Style

Recently, our reporter learned from project headquarters of 2020 Jinjiang Gymnasiade no.2 sports center (hereinafter referred to as "no.2 sports center") that at present the center, which has completed its quality improvement work thoroughly, can meet the basic requirements of trial events and operation.

This is just a microcosm of the preparations for Gymnasiade. By March this year, all 30 venues had been completed. Xu Zizhu, director of the Jinjiang Municipal Administration of Sport and executive vice minister of the construction and operation management department of Gymnasiade venues, revealed that as of the beginning of July all the venues had entered the phase of equipment testing.

The completion of grand new stadiums will make Jinjiang more urban, and at the same time bring benefits to more citizens and students. The biggest highlight of the venues is that they are not only adequate for large-scale international sports events but also accessible to residents and students for their daily exercise.

Urban quality enhanced by the venues

Development of sports industry stimulated

Recently, our reporter visited no.2 sports center. Inside the gymnasium, the wooden floor had been laid and the basketball racks installed, and more than 3000 movable seats had been in place. By the end of July, the main venue of no.2 sports center will be able to meet the basic requirements of test events and operation.

Over the past few years, Jinjiang has been committed to building an international city of innovation and quality. Liu Yisi, the operator of no.2 sports center and general manager of Pearl River Sports & Cultural Development (Jinjiang) Co., Ltd, said that the center will enable Jinjiang to host top-level international games and exhibitions, accelerating the internationalization process of Jinjiang.

"No.2 sports center will serve as a platform of the highest standard and professionalism on the west coast of the Taiwan Straits, catering for professional games, national fitness, artistic performances, public welfare events and exhibitions." Qiu Zhijun, director of Chendai branch of Jinjiang Natural Resources Bureau, told our reporter that the location of no.2 sports center is to transform Jindong new district from a commercial area solely dominated by shoe and textile industries to a vital hub integrating "sports, industry and life". Combined with an artificial lake, sports and seaside parks, high-end medical facilities, schools and complete road network, the district around no.2 sports center will become a model of "developing the city, promoting the industries and benefiting the citizens via sports events". 

As the first professional football field in Fujian province, Jinjiang football training center (aka Jinjiang football park) is highly praised while holding a seven-on-seven soccer training camp for children. Jinjiang sports center and Baxianshan national fitness center also receive an increasing number of people coming for exercise. According to statistics, Jinjiang sports center and the fitness center are visited by about 3000 and 1000 citizens a day respectively. 

As to venue construction, Jinjiang adheres to the principle that the venues should be built in simple and practical style and fulfill both purposes of professional games and more importantly daily workout. The central area of Jinjiang, with a cluster of stadiums like sports center, no.2 sports center, national fitness center and football park, will be able to undertake top-level international games in the future, making the city more urban and international. "On the other hand, from the perspective of layout and positioning, the sports centers not only function as host sites for large-scale international games, but also as a 'central dynamic circle with sports as the core'. Being an important part of Jinjiang city, Jinjiang business district and Chendai sports industry, the stadiums will stimulate the development of Jinjiang sports industry as a whole," said Chen Maohe, Secretary of the Party group of Jinjiang Sports Bureau and deputy director of Jinjiang Sports Industry Development Office. 

Over 60% of venues located on campus

Physical education to be boosted in schools

Cai Weixin, an eleventh grader of Yangzheng Middle School (YMS) and football fan, plays football to relax himself after school every day. "The turf is much better than that of old campus. It’s exciting to enjoy such a high quality football field in our school." In the pleasant summer afternoons, students of YMS enjoy the fun brought by sports in fresh air. They participate in such sports activities as rambling, jogging, basketball, volleyball and badminton. The campus is replete with joy and vigor. 

YMS has made improvement to its sports ground and gymnasium for the purpose of Gymnasiade. Yan Xiantan, vice director of YMS General Services, said the improved gym will meet the requirements of rope-skipping contests and can also be used for activities like sports events, art performances and large gatherings. "On the one hand, the overall improvement of the school's sports infrastructure will offer a high-level platform for Gymnasiade. On the other hand, while providing high quality sports facilities, it will also arouse students' enthusiasm for workout and do good to their health."

Jinjiang Juvenile Sports School (JJSS) is planned to be situated east to the new campus of YMS, covering an area of around 22.8 acres. With an impressive gym, splendid dorms and dining rooms, and complete sports facilities, JJSS will host track and field games and badminton matches of Gymnasiade. At present, the installation of equipment has entered the final phase. In future, it will become the main campus of JJSS, a national sports base for back-up talents and a sports training center for Jinjiang kids. "Taking all factors into consideration, we are going to accommodate such eight projects as track and field, swimming, basketball on this new campus. The combination of both sports and education will enhance the quality and effectiveness of training. In the meanwhile, professional coaches can provide instructions in strength and specific programs," said Wu Jiancai, the headmaster of JJSS. 

Zhang Peiliang, committee member of Anhai town's CPC publicity department, said, "the establishment of  Jinjiang Juvenile Sports School, as well as the infrastructure in surrounding towns, will make great improvement to the milieu, bring more people to Anhai and develop its economy. It plays a significant role in accelerating economic reform, industrial transformation and urban upgrading." 

Over 60 percent of the Gymnasiade venues are set in schools. 20 gyms in 16 schools have been upgraded or newly built for the games. The upgrading of campus sports facilities will improve the quality of physical education, meet both teachers and students’ requirement of sports venues and stir their passions for sports, thereby spurring the development of sports culture on campus and guaranteeing the cultivating of future sports talents.

Maximizing the use of stadiums

Designed to hold provincial or municipal level amateur games

"Fuzhou University Science and Education Park (FUSEP) Stadium is built according to the standards of B-class (good for regional multi-sports and national level single-sport events), and will not only hold some club games, but be open to the public, too," said Chen Maohe. Stadiums in Yuying Middle School (YMS), Jinjiang Vocational School (JVS) and FUSEP cluster in southern Jinjiang will be capable of holding provincial and municipal level amateur games.

To the locals and all those involved, it is extraordinary to witness the construction of the high-standard FUSEP stadium, the profoundly meaningful YMS stadium, and the exquisitely-corridored JVS stadium. Hong Huaiqian, the technical director of FUSEP project, told our reporter that this project has encountered various difficulties because of the limited time, high standard and strict management requirements. Seeing the project complete, Hong remarked with exclamations, "I feel honored to have the privilege to see the site here transformed from a bare land to a red-bricked and white-stoned campus by the mountain and water."

According to his introduction, FUSEP was completed last year, and stadiums in YMS and JVS have just passed the preliminary acceptance checks. In the future, the stadiums, to bring the most benefits, will be open to the teachers and students as well as the public, not only satisfying the teachers and students' daily needs to do sports, but also providing high quality sports facilities for the nearby residents.

 30个世中运场馆落成晋江更有“国际范”

　　近日，记者从世中运主场馆晋江市第二体育中心（以下简称“二体中心”）项目指挥部了解到，目前，二体中心已全面完成品质提升工作，基本满足测试赛和运营需求。

　　这仅仅是世中运筹办的一个缩影。今年3月份，世中运30个场馆已经全部完工。晋江市体育局局长、世中运场馆建设与运行管理部常务副部长许紫竹透露，截至7月初，所有世中运场馆已经进入设备调试阶段。

　　一个个崭新而又高大上的场馆落成，将使得晋江城市品位进一步提升，同时也让更多的市民、学生得到实惠。“战时”能举办高大上的国际大赛，“平时”能让市民和学生使用场馆，这是晋江世中运场馆最大的亮点。

　　场馆提升城市品位带动体育产业发展

　　近日，本报记者来到二体中心现场。走进体育馆内，只见现场木地板已经铺设完毕，篮球架也安装完成， 3000多个移动座位也全部进场。截至7月底，（二体中心）主场馆基本能够满足测试赛及运营的需要。”

　　晋江近年来一直致力于打造国际化创新型品质城市。二体中心的运营方、珠江文体晋江公司总经理刘易斯表示，二体中心建成以后，晋江将有能力承办一流的国际大赛及会展，可以进一步加快晋江的国际化进程。

　　“二体中心是集专业赛事、全民健身、文艺表演、公益活动、展览于一体的海峡西岸标准最高、专业性最强的赛事平台。”晋江市自然资源局陈埭分局局长邱志军告诉记者，第二体育中心选址晋东新区，使得该区域由原鞋纺城主导的商贸区，改变为“体育+产业+生活”为一体的中央活力区，而结合二体周边人工湖、体育公园、海滨公园、高端医疗、配套学校及完善的路网，该区域将成为“以赛兴城、以赛促产、以赛惠民”样板区。

　　作为福建首座专业足球场，晋江市足球训练中心（晋江足球公园）7人制训练场内进行着儿童青训营的培训，球场备受好评；而在晋江体育中心和八仙山全民健身中心也迎来了一波波健身热潮。据统计，晋江市体育中心每日接纳约3000名市民，全民健身中心每日约接纳1000名市民。

　　在场馆建设上，晋江坚持以“平战结合，以平为主，简洁实用，够用就好”为原则。在晋江主城区，以二体中心、体育中心、全民健身中心、足球公园为主的场馆群，今后将有能力承接国际一流大赛，进一步提升晋江的城市品位和国际化进程。“同时，从场馆布局和定位来看，二体中心、体育中心这些场馆的作用不仅仅是承接大型国际赛事，更要打造‘以体育为核心的中央活力圈’。它们将作为晋江市区、晋江商务区、陈埭体育产业的一个重要配套，带动整个晋江体育产业的发展。”晋江市体育局党组书记、晋江体育产业发展办公室副主任陈茂和介绍。

　　逾六成场馆设在学校助力校园体育蓬勃发展

　　蔡伟鑫是养正中学高二年级的学生，也是一名足球爱好者。每天下午放学后，他都会踢踢球，放松身心。“现在足球场的草质比旧校区的好很多，在学校也能享受到国际标准的足球场，太开心了。”在惬意的夏日傍晚，养正学子走出教学楼，呼吸新鲜空气，尽情享受运动的乐趣，散步、慢跑、篮球、排球、羽毛球……活力与激情充斥整座校园。

　　作为世中运比赛场馆，养正中学对体育场、体育馆进行了提升改造。据总务处副主任颜显坛介绍，改造后的体育馆不仅符合跳绳国际比赛馆标准，且可用于学校的体育活动、文体活动、大型聚会等。“学校体育设施的全面提升，一方面为世中运比赛的举行搭建了高水平的舞台；另一方面学生能够享受高标准的运动设施，充分调动学生参与体育运动的积极性，有利于身心健康发展。”

　　晋江市少体校项目选址位于安海养正中学新校区东侧，总用地面积138.039亩，将承接世中运田径和羽毛球两个项目的比赛。恢弘大气的场馆、崭新明亮的宿舍食堂、先进齐全的配套设施……目前，晋江少体校正在进行最后的设备调试。未来，这里不仅是晋江市少体校总部、国家高水平体育后备人才基地，还是晋江市少年儿童体育培训基地。“结合各方因素综合考虑，田径、游泳、篮球等八个项目将入驻总部，与‘体教结合’模式双线并驱，提高体育后备人才训练质量和效益。与此同时，体校的专业教练将对参加培训的青少年进行专项指导，辐射全市青少年体育项目、体能方面的培训。”校长吴建财介绍。

　　安海镇党委宣传委员张培良表示：“晋江市少体校建成后必将辐射带动周边环境提升、人气聚集和经济发展，相关城镇的配套建设将进一步完善，安海的文化、体育方面的优势和活力将进一步迸发。对安海镇经济转型、产业提升和城市升级，都起到巨大的推进和促进作用。”

　　本届世中运，晋江将逾六成比赛场馆设在学校。借助世中运契机，晋江改造、新建了一批学校体育场馆，涉及16所学校20个场馆。校园体育场馆设施水平的提升，有利于体育教学的开展，在满足师生对运动场地需求的同时，带动了校园运动氛围，促进校园体育文化的丰富和体育事业的发展，为晋江体育后备人才培养提供强有力的保障。

　　赛用结合最大化可承接省市级大众业余赛事

　　“福大科教园体育馆按照举办国内单项体育赛事的乙级馆标准（可承办地区性综合运动会和全国级别的单项比赛）建设，以后我们考虑承接一些俱乐部赛事，且这个馆今后对社会开放。”陈茂和表示，毓英中学体育馆、晋江职校体育馆和福大科教园体育馆三大场馆形成的晋南片区场馆集群，今后可以承接省级、市级大众业余赛事。

　　不论是高规格的福大科教园体育馆，还是寓意深远的毓英中学体育馆、连廊别致设计的晋江职校体育馆，对居民对所有参与建设的所有人员而言，都是一场意义非凡的见证。作为福大晋江科教园区项目技术负责人洪怀谦告诉记者，项目工期紧、要求高、对管理要求也十分严格，可谓困难重重。见证了项目的成长落地，洪怀谦不由感慨道，“亲眼见证了这里如何从一片黄土地变成一幅‘红砖白石，山水校园’，我很荣幸。”

　　据介绍，福大科教园去年完工，毓英中学体育馆、晋江职校体育馆此前已顺利完成竣工预验收，今后，场馆将对学校师生和公众开放，不仅满足师生的日常运动需求，也为周边居民提供优质的体育资源，更好地发挥场馆效益。
