22 Volunteer service teams in action for Gymnasiade

On the morning of December 5, the International Volunteer Day, Jinjiang held a volunteer mobilization meeting for the 18th Gymnasiade as a publicity and preparation effort for the event that is about to take place in 2021.

In the mobilization meeting held in the Jinjiang No.2 Sports Center, flags were presented to 22 service teams including the volunteer teams for competition service and photo journalism. The volunteers vowed to fully participate in the training to master service skills, upholding the volunteer spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual-aid and progress" . They also pledged to carry forward the volunteer spirit, providing volunteer service for athletes and guests from all over the world during the Gymnasiade.

The recruitment of Gymnasiade volunteers will last until February next year. "The volunteer recruitment activities have received strong support from many colleges and universities in Quanzhou. At present, teams of up to 5000 volunteers from 22 schools are being established." Wang Sisi, Director of the Publicity Department of Jinjiang Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League, said that all volunteers would be trained after the completion of recruitment. The training mainly consists of general training and professional training. The former is made up of training in the conditions of China (including that of Jinjiang), reception etiquette and etc. At the same time, professional training for different posts will also be conducted, including medical assistance, translation and others.

Chen Xiaoting, a volunteer representative from Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University, said that as a volunteer, she felt extremely excited and proud to have the honor to participate in such a grand event. She also said she would stay committed to the service vows and standards, displaying the style of Jinjiang youth and Chinese youth in the era with first-class mentality and service and cheering for the Gymnasiade.

Lin Shengxiang: 

Serve the Gymnasiade with everlasting passion

"I joined the Gymnasiade volunteer team through school recruitment." Lin Shengxiang, a computer application technology major enrolled at Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University in 2019, said that during the past three years in secondary vocational school, he had participated in a lot of voluntary service activities and had found a passion in that. Being a university student now, he still wants to keep this passion and pass it on to others.

Lin Shengxiang once participated in the voluntary service activities of FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour  sponsored by Kelme. "I was mainly responsible for managing volunteer clothing." As it was the first time he took part in the voluntary work of a large-scale competition, he said, "It's not easy to hold a large-scale event. Many people need to be mobilized in the preliminary planning and on-site competition. If the logistics support is not in place, the event will be affected."

Lin is full of expectation for the Gymnasiade: " I want to take this passion as a beacon on the way to abilities enhancement. I will pursue the refinement of professional competence relentlessly through professional training, demonstrating the attitudes and spirit of Jinjiang people to the world with the best service.

Lai Jincai: Use camera to present Jinjiang as a city of sports

On the International Volunteer Day, Lai Jincai, President of Jinjiang Youth Photography Association, Secretary General of Photographers Association and Deputy Secretary General of Photo Journalists Society, was conferred another identity-- member of the Gymnasiade volunteer team for photo journalism.

"The Gymnasiade held in Jinjiang is a window to showcase the robust development of the city’s sports industry and public sports activities, and an opportunity for Jinjiang photographers to demonstrate their professionalism to the international community. We should use our own professional expertise to bring focus to Jinjiang for the its promotion and enhancement. " He said that it is a precious opportunity to join the Gymnasiade and provide volunteer photography service for the event. In addition to shooting the wonderful moments of the event with the camera, he also hoped to use the camera to take photos of the volunteers who provide various services for the event, so as to present Jinjiang as a city of sports and vitality through images.

Lai said that he would have more practice and exchanges with other members of the volunteer team for photo journalism, presenting Jinjiang with the best works.

Lai Jintu: Self-improvement for better service in Gymnasiade

“I participate in the activities as a member of Jinjiang Xiangying Volunteers Group.” Lai Jintu, president and director-general of Quanzhou Volunteer Association, said volunteer service activities have become a fashion after the Beijing Olympic Games were successfully held. The Gymnasiade is an opportunity and challenge for people from all walks of life to display and represent the image of Jinjiang to the outside world. Therefore, it is very important to start by making sure everybody is doing their jobs right.

“Each volunteer should be able to take charge of his own work while obeying the command. By doing so, the team will grow cohesive and powerful.” Lai said that it makes us proud to participate in a major international event in a lifetime. In order to provide better service for the competition, we should improve ourselves to lay a solid foundation for the Gymnasiade.

  服务世中运 22支志愿者服务队在行动

　　12月5日，国际志愿者日。当天上午，晋江市举办第18届世界中学生运动会志愿者动员大会，为2021年的世界中学生运动会加油打气。

　　在晋江市第二体育中心，动员大会为世中运赛会志愿者服务队、世中运新闻摄影志愿者服务队等22支服务队授旗。志愿者们集体宣誓，承诺将秉承“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿者精神认真参与培训，掌握服务技能，弘扬志愿精神，在世中运赛事期间为世界各地选手和客人提供志愿服务。 

　　世中运志愿者招募活动截至明年2月。“志愿者招募活动得到了泉州、晋江众多高校的大力支持，目前22所学校近5000名志愿者团队正在陆续组建中。”晋江团市委宣传部部长王思思表示，志愿者招募活动结束后，将会对所有的志愿者进行培训。培训主要包括通识培训和专业培训，通识培训主要包括中国国情、晋江市市情、礼仪接待等方面，同时也会针对各个志愿岗位的服务内容开展专业培训，包括医疗救助、外语翻译等。 

　　来自泉州职业技术大学的志愿者代表陈小婷表示，作为一名志愿者，能有幸参与这样一场盛会，感到无比激动与自豪，将严格要求自己，遵守服务承诺，以一流的精神状态、一流的服务水平，展示晋江青年、中国青年的时代风采，为晋江世中运喝彩。

　　01 林圣翔：保持热爱 服务世中运

　　“我是通过校招的途径加入世中运志愿者队伍的。”泉州职业技术大学2019级计算机应用技术专业林圣翔说，之前在中职学校的三年期间，参加过很多志愿服务活动，对志愿服务活动有一种热爱，到了大学也想继续保持这份热爱，把这份热爱传递给大家。 

　　林圣翔参加过卡尔美世界沙排锦标赛的志愿服务活动。“我主要负责对接志愿者服装物资，做好志愿者物资的管理。”林圣翔说，这是他第一次参加大型赛事活动的志愿服务，“办一场大型赛事很不容易，前期筹划、现场赛事都需要动员很多人，如果因为后勤保障没有到位的话，赛事就会受到影响。”

　　对于世中运，林圣翔充满期待：“我要用热爱来提升自己的能力，通过专业的培训，不断提升个人的专业能力，用最好的服务向世界各国展示晋江人的精神面貌，”

　　02 赖进财：用镜头传播体育晋江 

　　国际志愿者日当天，晋江市青年摄影协会会长、摄影家协会秘书长、新闻摄影学会副秘书长赖进财又多了一个身份——世中运新闻摄影志愿者服务队成员。 

　　“晋江举办世中运，是对外展示晋江体育产业、群众体育活动蓬勃发展的一个窗口，也是晋江摄影人向国际社会展示自身专业形象的机遇。我们要用自身的专业特长，聚焦晋江、宣传晋江、提升晋江。”赖进财说，能够加入世中运这场赛事，为赛事提供摄影志愿服务，是很难得的机会。除了用镜头拍下赛事精彩瞬间外，他也希望用镜头定格为赛事提供各种志愿服务的志愿者身影，通过影像传播体育晋江、活力之城的魅力。

　　赖进财表示，接下来，他会和其他新闻摄影志愿者服务队的成员多进行实践交流，以期用最好的作品来展示晋江。

　　03 赖金土：提升自我 服务好赛事 

　　“我是作为晋江市翔鹰志愿者服务队的一名成员参加活动的。”泉州志愿者协会理事长赖金土说，北京奥运会成功举办以后，志愿服务活动成为一种时尚。晋江能够举办世中运，不管哪行哪业，对外都是一个展示的窗口，都代表着晋江的形象，所以先做好自己很重要。 

　　“每位志愿者在各自的岗位上都要能独当一面，服从指挥，这样形成的团队就会很有吸引力、号召力。”赖金土说，一辈子能参加一次重大的国际赛事，是很值得骄傲的。为了更好地服务好赛事，大家应该提升自我能力，也就是让“粮草先行”。
